The 15 songs here are virtually all worthwhile listening, and not just for '50s R&B fanatics -- if you like Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, this is also a disc worth owning. The originals, including "Sweetness" and "My Girl Awaits Me," are extraordinarily beautiful compositions and recordings, and even the covers of standards like "Over the Rainbow" are worthwhile. "Heavenly Father" is worth the price of the CD by itself, and Donn Fileti's notes answer lots of questions about the history of the group and its members.
